Between 1933 and 1945, the key institutions of Nazi persecution and terror – the Secret State Police Office, the leadership of the SS, and the Reich Security Main Office – were located on what is now the site of the Topography of Terror Documentation Center. Most of the Nazi regime’s crimes throughout Europe were planned and coordinated from here.
