How much of the Reformation remains in its region of origin, known as Luther Country? He explores how they have changed over time and debunks some of the myths that surround them. Kreitel looks for the aura of places with an eye for unusual detail and a sense of atmosphere. In this way the book offers unique insights for the tourist as well as giving a lively account of the history of those turbulent times.
